It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of John,
who passed away peacefully, but suddenly, with his family by his side,
on Wednesday 9th September 2026,
at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 75 years.
A loving brother to Jean and Ann,
a compassionate father to Sean, Lisa and stepdaughter Clare.
A proud and devoted grandad to Lauren and Callum,
and a much-loved human to his beloved fur babies Freya & Bonny.
John was a loving husband to the late Janet and a special partner to Jackie.
He was also a Loyal Poacher of the 2nd Royal Anglian Regiment, respected Commanding Officer of the ACF.
He will be deeply missed by all his family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember the life of John will take place
on Friday 23rd October 2026 at 12.40pm,
at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe.
Family flowers only, please, but donations in John's memory are welcomed
for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
